On May 19 and 20, 2025, Palacký University in Olomouc, Czechia, hosted 87 participants from 35 countries for the LeverAge Working Groups Interplenary Meeting, under the theme “A Collaborative Path to Development and Innovation”.
The first day was dedicated to focused meetings within the five working groups. It was an ideal opportunity to welcome new members, introduce their research projects, and reflect on the current progress of ongoing initiatives. The groups also identified new research challenges relevant to aging, work, and retirement, setting the stage for future innovation and collaboration.
The second day featured a series of thematic sessions on “Making Action Results Visible,” “Writing Successful Grant Applications in WOP/HRM,” and “Reimagining Universities for Aging Societies”. Additional roundtable discussions explored key topics such as bridging Practice & Academia, Emotional Regulation across the Lifespan, Cross-Cultural Collaboration, and the development of the LeverAge website.
Coffee breaks and shared meals offered valuable moments for networking, idea exchange, and planning future collaborations. A guided walking tour of Olomouc, led by enthusiastic students from Palacký University, gave participants a glimpse of the city’s charm and left many eager to return.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Slavka Silberg and Martin Dolejš for their warm hospitality and to the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic, the city of Olomouc, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and the Rector of Palacký University for their generous support and patronage.
