WG Interplenary Meeting in Birmingham

The LeverAge Working Group (WG) 1-5 3rd Annual Meetings & WG Interplenary was held at the University of Birmingham on May 21 & 22, 2026. The event was organized by Dr. De Glykeria Skamagki from the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham.

The first day was dedicated to focused meetings within the five working groups. It was an ideal opportunity to welcome new members, introduce their research projects, and reflect on the current progress of ongoing initiatives. The groups also identified new research challenges relevant to aging, work, and retirement, setting the stage for future innovation and collaboration. The day also featured several [arallel workshops, as described more below. Coffee breaks and shared meals offered valuable moments for networking, idea exchange, and planning future collaborations. We extend our heartfelt thanks to  Dr. De Glykeria Skamagki and her team for their warm hospitality and to the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham for its generous support.
