Bio: Michela Vignoli is an Associate Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento, where she coordinates the we.be.wo Lab (Well-Being at Work Laboratory). Michela's primary area of interest revolves around understanding how workers can enhance their well-being, professional development, and motivation. She also analyzes hindering work characteristics, such as workplace age discrimination and age stereotypes. Michela has contributed to national, international, and European-funded research projects, cultivating significant expertise in managing and participating in complex projects related to work psychology. She is now Co-Principal Investigator of the international project “Overcoming societal tensions in Europe: Can Age-diverse friendship be the solution?” funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. Michela is also part of the Later Life Workplace Index project, an international research group involving 21 countries around the world. Her research methodologies predominantly employ quantitative methods, although she is proficient in qualitative and mixed methods research, guided by the belief that research questions should dictate the chosen methodology. Michela's studies have been published in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Work & Stress, Journal of Career Development, and International Journal of Human Resource Management.
