WGS: WG3
Bio: I earned my PhD in Social and Organizational Psychology from Panteion University of Athens in Greece in 2011. Subsequently, I received a two-year Marie Curie grant, "Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development," which enabled me to continue my post-doctoral research at Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium. Since 2019, I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Organizational Psychology at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, with previous experience at the Free University of Amsterdam and various universities in Cyprus (University of Cyprus, Neapolis University of Pafos, Open University) and Greece (Panteion University).

My research is multifaceted and revolves around the following topics: a) In my work on aging workforces and leadership, I focus on uncovering the importance of older leaders' enhanced emotional abilities and soft skills for their relationships with their employees. This research emphasizes the significance of supporting aging workforces and leveraging their strengths to cultivate high-quality relationships within teams. b) In my research on power, leadership, and conflict management, I challenge conventional wisdom by revealing that powerful individuals exhibit greater cooperation and prosocial behavior in conflicts as long as their position is secure and the status quo is not subject to change. My research has been published in various social and organizational psychology journals such as the British Journal of Social Psychology, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Personality and Individual Differences, among others. I am an Editorial Consultant for two international journals: "Frontiers in Psychology" and "British Journal of Social Psychology".
