Bio: Dr. Emna Gara Bach Ouerdian is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the Higher Institute of Management (ISG), University of Tunis, where she is Co-Director of the Research Master's Degree in HRM. She is also a member of the board of the PRISME laboratory at the University of Sfax, Tunisia. Her main research interests lie at the intersection of HRM practices, employee well-being, and career success. She studies how factors such as psychological capital, emotional intelligence, and leadership styles influence employee well-being and turnover intentions. She also examines the impact of HRM practices on various organizational outcomes (e.g., knowledge sharing, and firm performance). Her research also examines factors influencing career success, including both psychological and social capital often with a focus on gender. Emna has published on these topics in international refereed journals including Personnel Review, Leadership & Organization Development Journal, International Journal of Workplace Health Management, Journal of Management Development, and The International Journal of Human Resource Management. She is currently interested in the impact of AI awareness on technostress and sustainable careers for older and younger workers.
