Bio: Amélia Rita Monteiro is an Assistant Professor and Researcher in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management, with a strong focus on longevity, careers, and the future of work. She holds a PhD in Organizational Behaviour and works at the intersection of academia and organizations, aiming to translate scientific knowledge into practical and societal impact.

Her research explores how individuals and organizations can thrive across longer, multi-stage careers, with particular attention to intergenerational relationships, career life design, resilience, job crafting, and sustainable work across the life course. .

She is the co-founder and Director of Research of the Católica Lisbon Center on Longevity Leadership, where she leads the development of scientific agendas, corporate partnerships, and applied research projects focused on longevity, talent, and societal impact. In this role, she actively bridges research, executive education, and organizational practice, working closely with companies, NGOs, and policymakers. Amélia collaborates with national and international institutions and is part of the Stanford Center on Longevity Catalyst Program, aligning her work with the “New Map of Life” framework. She is deeply committed to teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership, preparing students and professionals to navigate longer lives and evolving careers with purpose, adaptability, and resilience.
