Bio: Mihael Nedeljko, PhD in Social Gerontology, is employed as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Organisation Studies in Novo mesto. He obtained his doctorate with a dissertation on successful ageing among LGBTQ+ older adults. His research focuses on understanding the processes of successful ageing, well-being, and quality of life in later life, with particular attention to vulnerable groups such as sexual and gender minorities.
He actively participates in international scientific conferences, where he regularly presents his research findings. In 2024, he presented a paper entitled Exploring the Influence of Sexual Orientation and Life Satisfaction on Well-being Among LGBTQ+ Older Adults at the National LGBTQ Health Conference in the USA. He is also involved in several international projects, and has previously been employed at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia.
