Bio: Ans De Vos, PhD is professor at the University of Antwerp, faculty of Business Economics and full professor at Antwerp Management School, where she is holder of the SD Worx Chair “Next generation work: Creating sustainable careers” since 2011. Her current research focuses on career inaction, career transitions, employability, and career management in a rapidly changing world of work. Special attention goes to the conditions that affect the sustainability of careers of different groups of workers and across the lifespan. Her work appears in academic outlets including Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (EJWOP). Her academic work has been recognized by a best paper award from the Academy of Management Careers Division (2021) and her 'Global Leadership' course has received the Financial Times Responsible Business Education Award (2023). She is a former associate editor of EJWOP (2017-2022), and special issue editor for Journal of Vocational Behavior and EWJOP amongst others.
Ans frequently cooperates with organizations and policy makers on (re)designing and implementing sustainable career policies. She is also the chairwoman of the Flemish Partnership for Lifelong Learning, installed by the Flemish government in 2020.
